🎯 Japanese Core Particles: The Magic Glue of Sentences

The Train Station Story 🚂

Imagine you’re at a busy train station. Words in Japanese are like passengers, and particles are the colored tickets that tell each passenger exactly where to go and what to do.

Without tickets, chaos! Passengers bump into each other, nobody knows who’s doing what. But with the right tickets? Everything flows perfectly.

That’s exactly what particles do in Japanese!

🎫 Meet Your 8 Magic Tickets

Particle Job Think of it as…
は (wa) Topic Marker “Speaking of…”
が (ga) Subject Marker “THE one who…”
を (wo) Object Marker “This thing gets actioned”
へ (e) Direction “Heading toward…”
に (ni) Location/Time “At/To this spot”
で (de) Location of Action “The action happens HERE”
まで (made) Limit “Up until this point”
から (kara) Starting Point “Starting from here”

1️⃣ は (wa) – The Topic Marker

What Does It Do?
