📚 Worksheet Management & Tab Colors in Excel
The Filing Cabinet Story
Imagine you have a big filing cabinet with many drawers. Each drawer holds different papers—one for homework, one for drawings, one for stories. In Excel, your workbook is the filing cabinet, and each worksheet is a drawer!
But what if all the drawers looked the same? You’d waste time opening the wrong ones! That’s why we learn to manage worksheets and give them colorful tabs—like putting rainbow stickers on your drawers so you find things fast!
🗂️ What is Worksheet Management?
Worksheet management means organizing your drawers (worksheets) so everything is easy to find.
Things You Can Do:
| Action | What It Means | Like In Real Life |
|---|---|---|
| Add a worksheet | Create a new drawer | Adding a folder to your backpack |
| Delete a worksheet | Remove a drawer | Throwing away old notes |
| Rename a worksheet | Give it a better name | Writing “Math” instead of “Sheet1” |
| Move a worksheet | Change its position | Rearranging books on a shelf |
| Copy a worksheet | Make a duplicate | Photocopying your homework |
